Our Mission

The Parent Teacher League (PTL) is an all-school organization of parents and teachers designed to uphold and enhance the education of our children. They are not a governing body, but serve to provide cooperative support to the school administration and staff and its policies. The mission of the Zion Lutheran School PTL is to support and enrich the educational environment for our students. We strive to:

  • Promote Communication: Facilitate open and effective communication between parents, teachers, and the school administration.
  • Encourage Involvement: Encourage parental involvement in school activities and decision-making processes.
  • Fundraise: Organize fundraising events to support educational programs, facilities, and resources.
  • Build Community: Foster a sense of community and belonging among parents, teachers, and students.

Participation in PTL activities is applicable for the required PPP (parent participation program) hours.

How to Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with the PTL at Zion Lutheran School. Whether you have a little time or a lot, your participation makes a difference. Here are some ways you can contribute:

  • Attend Meetings: Join us for our regular PTL meetings to stay informed and share your ideas.
  • Volunteer: Help with events, fundraisers, and other PTL initiatives.
  • Join a Committee: Serve on one of our committees to focus on specific areas of interest.
  • Donate: Contribute financially to support our fundraising efforts.

The PTL is to be supportive to the school at all times, no gossip, slander or false allegations will be allowed. The president and treasurer of the PTL will bring statements monthly to the principal going over all accounting and document of PTL spent funds.
