Middle School: 6, 7, 8

Welcome to our Middle School program at Zion Lutheran School, designed for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. This critical stage of education focuses on preparing students for the academic rigors of high school while fostering their spiritual, social, and emotional growth. Our dedicated educators provide a challenging and supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Through a comprehensive curriculum that includes core subjects, electives, and extracurricular activities, we help our students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed. Join us in providing a well-rounded and enriching educational experience for your middle school student.

The middle school program offers a rigorous and well-rounded education that integrates Washington State public school standards with a Christ-centered approach. Students engage in advanced learning across core subjects, including literature, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and technology, meeting state objectives for critical thinking, problem-solving, and academic proficiency. The curriculum challenges students to deepen their understanding through analytical reading, complex writing assignments, algebraic reasoning, scientific exploration, and historical inquiry. In addition to academic rigor, Zion School places a strong emphasis on spiritual and character development, with biblical teachings woven into daily learning. Students are encouraged to apply Christian values as they collaborate, develop leadership skills, and grow in their faith. The program fosters independent learning, creativity, and resilience, preparing students for high school and equipping them with both the academic and spiritual tools for future success.
